Two-vehicle collision slows down traffic on Penticton’s Eckhardt Avenue

Traffic going north is backed up heavily as a result of the crash

A two-vehicle collision closed one lane at the intersection of Penticton’s Eckhardt Avenue and Riverside Drive on Thursday afternoon.

The Penticton Fire Department, RCMP and BC Ambulance responded to the crash after 4 p.m. on July 21, arriving to the scene of a van and pickup truck involved in the incident.

The vehicles are now off the road, as of 4:35 p.m. The van was drivable, while the pickup truck was not.

RCMP confirmed with the Western News there were no serious injuries, but one person involved was being checked on by the paramedics on scene.

Traffic is backed up going north on Eckhardt Avenue as a result of the incident.
