Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen landfills reduce hours for winter

Measures will take effect from December 2020 until end of February 2021

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen’s landfills will operate on reduced winter hours from December until February.

The reduced hours affect landfills in Penticton, Oliver, Okanagan Falls and Keremeos.

In addition, all regional district landfills will be closed on statutory holidays and on Boxing Day.

The Campbell Mountain Landfill in Penticton will be closed Sundays from Dec. 6 until the end of February. The landfill will be open Monday to Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

The Keremeos Landfill will be closed Wednesdays from December until the end of February. The landfill will be open Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Oliver Landfill will be open from noon until 3:45 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Saturdays.

The Okanagan Falls Landfill will be open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on weekdays, but will be closed on Saturdays during the winter.
