Unionized employees of the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen have voted to go on strike.
RDOS employees are asking for a 6.2 per cent pay raise in 2012 and a 3.18 per cent raise in 2013.
A provincial mediator has been assigned to help resolve the differences between the RDOS and its unionized employees.
RDOS employees saw a 2.5 per cent wage increase in 2009 and a 1.5 per cent increase in both 2010 and 2011.
