Princeton's the place to be for the long weekend

There is a full schedule for the Racing Days weekend in Princeton. Don't miss out on tons of fun.

Just days away,  there is one heck of a great weekend in store for everyone.

On Wednesday, June 29 the Princeton Secondary School textiles class will be hosting a fashion show fundraiser for the victims of the Slave Lake Fire. 7:00 p.m., at the Royal Canadian Legion, $5/ticket —available at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Thursday holds the races at Sunflower Downs Race Track, post time is at 3:00 p.m., daytime music provided by the ‘Trubador’ and the evening dance entertainment by Dale Seaman & Hwy 97.

Friday, July 1 is the beginning of the weekend long Mixed Open Golf Tourney at the Princeton Golf Course.  The  Grand re-opening of the Princeton Museum happens on Friday as well at 11:00 a.m., then at  6:00 p.m. the Rotary Parade and after the parade — crowning of the new Princeton Youth Ambassadors takes place at the Riverside Centre.

Saturday morning begins with the Lions Pancake Breakfast at Rotary Park from 8:00 am - 11:00 am with the Annual Duck Race in the Tulameen River. Are you a hot rod enthusiast? Be downtown for the 11 Annual A&W Princeton Show ‘n Shine, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The Vermilion Artists are hosting their Annual Art Show at the Library building on Vermilion Avenue, daily from 10 am to 6 pm June 30, July 1st and 2nd.

If you are looking for some live theatre action: check out the presentation of “I love you, you’re perfect now change” by an incredible group of young performers; River Road Theatre. Showing at the Riverside Centre Theatre, Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and again on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. — Guaranteed, you will NOT be disappointed!
