Princeton is beating Keremeos in the Earth Hour challenge

Princeton has pulled ahead of Keremeos in the 2012 Fortis Earth Hour challenge, but is still far behind Salmo - a small community east of Castlegar.

Kaslo and Crawford Bay are also ahead of Princeton, but not by much.

Princeton and Keremeos have been fighting to outdo each other in the challenge, causing the winning community to constantly change.

Go to the Fortis Earth Hour website to pledge - it only takes 30 seconds.

Here's how Princeton is doing, compared to other communities.

Thousands of people around the world will be turning of their lights for an hour on March 31 for Earth Hour. In B.C., the hour is set for 8:30 p.m.
