Ten students from John Allison Elementary and Vermillion Forks Elementary received back packs stuffed with school supplies recently, thanks to the Kits for Kids program sponsored by Telus.

Boundary-Similkameen MLA Roly Russell reached out to Princeton Family Services (PFS) to ask them to co-ordinate the delivery of supplies.

Chelsea Jwaszko, who will be assuming the executive director’s role at PFS later this year as current ED Jenny Pedwell retires, organized the drop off to schools.

She said she spoke with school contacts to determine which students would benefit from the program.

Jwaszko said PFS also follows food security for vulnerable students through out the year, providing support when needed.
