The Princeton Cultural Planning process started in September and will come to an end in March. Over the last 5 months the consultant, Vicky Jones, has been collecting community input through surveys, interviews and group discussions in order to develop a set of goals that will be presented to residents for final consideration at a Community Forum on Culture on Thursday, February 3. The plan will be finalized by the end of March 2011 and the next stage will be the implementation by the arts, culture and heritage community in partnership with the town and region.

The draft document including proposed goals, strategies and action points is also available for review on the Princeton Arts Council website at www.princetonarts.ca along with the findings from the survey conducted last year. If you would like to give feedback on the document or have any questions please join us at the Community Forum on February 3 from 6:30p.m. - 8:00 p.m., at Riverside Centre or e-mail:

The planning process was made possible by funding from 2010 Legacies Now’s Creative Communities program, Princeton Community Arts Council, the Town of Princeton and the Regional District of the Okanagan-Similkameen who see the cultural framework as an important part of Princeton’s plan for the future.
