Princeton celebrated Mining Day at Veteran's Square on May 8.

Kids had their faces painted, panned for gold and learned about different kinds of rocks, while a long lineup formed for free hotdogs and hamburgers.

Princeton's Allenby Road played live for guests.

Copper Mountain Mine put on displays showing how mining works in Princeton.

Karina Brino, president the Mining Association of B.C., and Jim O'Rourke, Copper Mountain Mine CEO, spoke about the benefits of mining at a luncheon for Princeton's business community.
