Arguably, Princeton’s traditional Halloween Family Fun Night is one of the most anticipated and best-attended events of the year.
More than 1,500 people annually turn out for the spook houses, games, bonfire and fireworks.
Under COVID conditions, the event at the Princeton fairgrounds is cancelled for 2020. However the organizing committee, working with the municipality, will still deliver an oooooh….awwww worthy fireworks display.
The fireworks will be lit near the airport, on Friday Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m.
Recreation director Cody Naples said the fireworks should be visible from almost all areas of town “if you just look up and north.”
The town is requesting that no one drive to the airport area, but rather watch the display from their own neighbourhood.
The cost of the display, approximately $3,000, is paid by the municipality.
