Over the past several weeks, the Princeton RCMP Detachment has fielded numerous complaints regarding motorists failing to stop for School buses. This is an alarming trend which police Failing to stop for a school bus poses serious risk to the young children and youth of the community.
School buses are most active before 9:00 am and after 3:00 pm.
The Princeton RCMP Detachment would like to remind motorists, that failing to stop for a school bus is an offence under the Motor Vehicle Act of BC and carries a fine of $167.00.
Although this offence carries a monetary fine, the human cost could be much, much greater.
