The first week of November saw COVID-19 cases continue to drop across the South Okanagan Similkameen.
There were a total of 29 new cases recorded over the week of Oct. 31 to Nov. 6, with the majority continuing to remain in the Penticton local health area, according to data from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control.
There were 18 cases in Penticton, which was a slight decrease from the 19 recorded over Oct. 24 to 30.
Princeton was the only local health area to see an increase, going from a single case over Oct. 24 to 30, up to six new cases recorded during the first week of November.

The Keremeos and Southern Okanagan local health areas both continued to drop and saw only a single new case over the first week of November, down from the three cases they had both recorded the week before.
Over Oct. 31 to Nov. 6, the Summerland local health area saw three new cases, down from five the week before.
Vaccination rates in the area also continued their steady one-per cent increase-a-week trend, outside of Princeton which remains at 78 per cent double-dosed.
The Southern Okanagan has maintained its lead with 85 per cent of people fully vaccinated, followed by Penticton and Summerland with 84 per cent. Keremeos narrowed the gap with the other regions as it reached 77 per cent full vaccination in the region.
