Councillor Marilyn Harkness  is married to entrepreneur Ron and has “three wonderful adult step children.”  Marilyn grew up in Ontario and headed west in 1980.  She has spent 31 years in rural communities in B.C. and loves rural life.

With eleven years as an emergency room nurse under her belt, she is able to move and think fast.  Marilyn eventually moved into hospital administration.  Before coming to Princeton, she served for a term as alderman in Valemount and for six years on the board of the College of New Caledonia.

Marilyn’s main focus has been health care.  She is looking for answers on how to get and keep health professionals in Princeton.  “My goal is to have 24/7 emergency room services at our hospital.”
