#KEY2SOEC will give lucky winner a year of free concerts and events

The sweepstakes offers patrons a chance to win two tickets to every ticketed event at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

Win two tickets to every ticketed event at the South Okanagan Events Centre with #Key2SOEC contest.

The South Okanagan Event Centre (SOEC), in partnership with the Penticton Western News, Sun FM and EZ Rock are thrilled to announce the biggest contest the SOEC has ever held: Key to the SOEC.

The sweepstakes offers patrons a chance to win two tickets to every ticketed event, currently 53 with more expected to be announced, at the South Okanagan Events Centre for one year. Starting July 14, patrons are invited to enter for a chance to win the ‘”Key to the SOEC” online at HERE or through the South Okanagan Events Centre Facebook Page. No purchase necessary.

“The Key to the SOEC is a way for us to say thank you. For the past eight years, patrons from all over the Okanagan and beyond have come to Penticton to support concerts and events at the South Okanagan Events Centre,” said Dean Clarke, general manager of the SOEC. “Their interest has allowed us to bring in world-class acts and this promotion is simply a way to show our appreciation for their continued support.”

The promotion originally began at a Spectra managed sister-building, and has become an exciting way for the venue management company to thank patrons for their unwavering support at hockey games, concerts and events. In addition, this sweepstakes offers patrons a chance to opt-into the SOEC Cyber Club, an email database used by the SOEC to inform patrons about exclusive pre-sale offers, as well as provide information on upcoming concerts and events.

The estimated dollar value for the winner is approximately $3,500, which may fluctuate based on ticket availability, seat location and the booking of additional events. The winner gets access to every ticketed event at the SOEC from Aug. 31, 2016 to Aug. 30 2017. The first show the winner will get to see for free is Rob Thomas on Aug. 31.

“We are so excited to be a media partner in what is going to be an amazing giveaway. The quality of concerts, trade shows and events that the SOEC bring to Penticton are such pivotal drivers in positive economic growth for our region … the hotels, restaurants and retail locations all benefit from influx of ‘show-goers’ that come from all over the South Okanagan and beyond that this was just natural for us to jump onboard. We are proud to support the SOEC in all of their endeavours and can’t wait for the lucky winner to be announced in August,” said Penticton Western News publisher Shannon Simpson.

The contest closes at 11:59 p.m. PST on August 10, 2016. Patrons will be allowed to enter the sweepstakes once, with the opportunity for one bonus entry per share on public social media posts. Complete contest Rules and Regulations are available at SOEC.ca.
