Hiker airlifted from Manning Park after being reported missing

Princeton GSAR states it was a “positive outcome.”

A helicopter was employed to remove a hiker from Manning Park early, Saturday, June 1.

A person was reported missing the previous evening in the area, at about 8 p.m., according to the Princeton Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR) in a social media post.

A conservation officer and a Princeton RCMP member were able to contact and locate the hiker, and provided initial assessment. The hiker was airlifted at first light.

GSAR reported the outcome as “positive.”
