McBain Insurance in Summerland has contributed to an upgrade at the Angus Place seniors centre.
The donation of $816 was presented Jan. 7. The money will go towards a new floor for the bathing room in the care facility.
In December, the Summerland Health Care Auxiliary Thrift Store committed to providing a new tub in the bathing room of the facility. The existing tub is old and has broken down numerous times.
“Seniors have truly had a tough year due to the virus so it brings such joy and light to our seniors when the community go above and beyond for them,” said Charmaine Kramer, chief executive officer of the Parkdale Place Housing Society, the organization that operates Angus Place.
