Brandon Ghiloni was jogging home on a trail near downtown around midnight April 7 when he says he was chased and attacked by a deer.
The deer’s hoof left a large bruise on the inner part of his left arm.
The 17-year-old went to see his doctor, who said his tendons and nerves were badly bruised.
“He first thought a horse was running behind him, but turned around to see a deer chasing him,” Ghiloni’s mother said.
It startled him and he ended up falling.
He then yelled loudly to scare the deer away.
Ghiloni said this is the first time he has been chased by a deer and is glad his arm is bruised instead of being broken.
