The Town of Princeton has approved a performance agreement with local business owners.
On April 16 at the regular meeting of council, development coordinator Mark McNaughton made the recommendation to approve the business façade improvement grant application for 279 Bridge Street, Thomasina's restaurant. Council approved the agreement which will allocate $5,000 for reimbursement for the eligible façade improvements outlined in the submitted grant applications.
The agreement states that 50 per cent of the eligible project costs will be reimbursed, up to a maximum of $5,000, if all performance agreement criteria are met.
The owners of Thomasina's submitted a complete improvement program application to replace their awning roof, awning pillars and wood pillars, which will involve removing old cedar shingles and replacing them with tin, and forming and pouring three post columns for new concrete footings.
The estimated total eligible project cost is $10,360, and a building permit and an encroachment agreement will be required for the project as well.
