A copy of this letter was delivered Tuesday to the mayor and council.

Having attended two of the KVR Mixed Trail Use Select Committee meetings, I see no point in me continuing as a member at large, and therefore resign from said committee with immediate effect.

It is blatantly obvious for all to see that this committee does not reflect a balanced view of all citizens of Princeton. Even the people within the organizations selected, in most cases, seem to have been handpicked with certain points of views.

It is also clear from the comments that the chair has made and his comments in recent media articles that the decision that the KVR is going to be mixed use has already been made. My own understanding of the committee was to see if it was feasible to use the KVR for mixed use and to come up with solutions to make it work, if possible.

It was part of the mandate that consensus would have to be reached on any decision with all people at the table. However it is a simple majority vote that passes ideas, and as mentioned, with the totally unbalanced representation, this means everything will be steam rolled through with very little in the way of opposition.

As the decision for the use of the KVR seems to have been made, I urge council to disband this quite frankly farcical committee and hire a professional trail builder who would have the knowledge and impartiality to build a safe usable trail for all.
