We are new to Princeton, having just moved here July 4. In the last three months we have met many lovely people and are so happy we are here. Our neighbours are welcoming and quiet. The hospital staff is caring and competent. The community is friendly and helpful.
On Monday, October 29, I went to The Source to get some things I needed so that my husband, who is not well, could watch Netflix on my laptop. Brett not only helped us find what we needed, but he spent about an hour getting my laptop working better and setting up the sound system we wanted.
We left just before closing time and headed out to set up our purchases. When we arrived in my husband’s room, we discovered that we ended up with the wrong little box and missing a little connector piece.
We were just going to head back to The Source to see if we could catch someone still there when, to our amazement, there was Brett at the door of the room, bringing us the piece we had left behind.
He had heard us mention that we needed to get back up to the hospital and had come to find us. Even more wonderful, we actually have moved over to Ridgewood Lodge now, and, rather than just leave the box with the hospital reception, Brett pursued us and found out what room we were in at Ridgewood.
And, if that wasn’t already above and beyond expectations, he actually stayed another half hour helping us to set everything up again so that we were able to start watching right away.
I am simply blown away by this young man and his generosity and compassion. I think the Town of Princeton is doing a fabulous job raising its young citizens.
If they are anything like Brett, then we are truly fortunate. Hats off to Brett’s parents, whoever you are. You have an amazing son. Thank you.
