With thanks to our volunteers

Lynn Pelly, Executive Director of Princeton and District Community Services shares her thanks to the many volunteers.

Someone once shared this saying with me: I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.  I believe this is also true of volunteers.

No matter how much we enjoy our jobs and the people we have the privilege to work with, from time to time we struggle with maintaining the optimal level of focus and commitment.  Enter “the volunteer” who recognizes and acknowledges the worth of our programs and the immeasurable value of the persons we support.  These wonderful volunteers, who give freely of their time and talents, jump start our energy levels and lighten our load so we are able to focus on the positive aspects of our jobs.

The contributions of volunteers are numerous and unique to each.  Their value is beyond measure.  A helping hand, a smile, a fresh idea, a kind word, an understanding comment at any given time can provide that ray of sunshine that transforms the commonplace into the spectacular.

Our volunteer base is an amazing mosaic of unique and colorful components which blend together to form a remarkable team of dedicated individuals that enhance the lives of those we support, the programs we offer and the staff who are the foundation of our organization.  We couldn’t do what we do without your help.

Our sincere thanks for the priceless gifts of your time, talents and thoughtfulness.
