The Summerland Rotary Sunday Market will be held in the community’s downtown during the summer months.

From June 26 to Sept. 25, the markets will be held each Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with farmers, wine tasting, artisans and other vendors. Live music will be included during the markets.

Linda Van Alphen, coordinator of the markets, said 35 vendors have already registered for this year’s markets, with more expected to participate.

The weekly markets will be held on Main Street from Victoria Road to Kelly Avenue and on the side street of Henry Avenue from Wharton Street to the CIBC alleyway.

To accommodate the markets, the roads will be closed to traffic every Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vehicles will be towed from the area if necessary.

Summerland’s Sunday markets have typically been held in downtown Summerland, but in 2020 the location was changed to the parking lot of the Summerland Arena.
