The 100 Men Who Care held their fall meeting at Slackwater Brewing on Wednesday to select the three charities that would receive their next donations.
For this quarter, the 100 Men chose to donate their money towards Princeton Search & Rescue, Vermillion Forks Field Naturalists and the Summerland Food Bank.

The $7,100 raised in the hour before the selections were made was split between the three charities, with the Summerland Food Bank receiving the most votes by 100 Men members and $5,680, while the other two charities recieved $710.
Every three months the 100 Men Who Care meet together and hear proposals from local charities and organizations who have been invited to the meeting. Those groups present on what they do, where the donation will go and who they’ll use it to help in the community. Members then vote for their favourite charity, which receives the lionshare of the pooled donation.
The 100 Men Who Care have raised and donated $87,000 to 39 charities in the South Okanagan Similkameen. Their next meeting will take place in late November.
