Princeton Hospital Auxiliary ~ Spring news

Now, May 10 each year will be known as “Health Care Auxiliary Day.”

What a wonderful beginning of Spring.

So far this month we have earmarked over $37,300 for the purchase of equipment for Princeton Hospital.  $30,000 for half the cost of a C.R. Reader for our Xray department, $4,500 for a pen that tests internal eye pressure, and $2,900 for a ambulatory blood pressure monitor.

We trust these will speed up and improve health care for us all in Princeton.

Again this year we will be awarding $2,000 in scholarship funds to one or more deserving Princeton High School student(s).

We had four  new members join us last month and we welcome them all and hope they enjoy their time with us.  Remember we are always looking for new members, so drop into the Thrift Store and see what we’re all about!

Last year at this time the Province of B.C. Issued a Proclamation to all, that the B.C. Association of Health Care Auxiliaries be recognized.  Now, May 10 each year will be known as “Health Care Auxiliary Day.” It acknowledges  our 87 auxiliaries with 6700 adult and 740 youth members.  Also, 1,315,000 volunteer hours and $8,025,000 donated to our health care and well being.  It’s nice to be recognized don’t you think?

Upcoming events:  we will hopefully be repeating the success of our fashion show and tea in 2015.  We have just started planning for a spring and summer show for May.

Look for us at the Fall Fair, Sept. 6 and 7, 2014 we will have a booth there.

If your into Google look for us there soon as we will be putting up our own web page.

Thanks again to all our wonderful customers who support our shop and fund-raising efforts!
