Jamie Holloway is the Medical Social Worker at Princeton General Hospital and Ridgewood Lodge. She is extending her services to provide a Grief and Loss support group locally.

Everyone reacts in their own way when it comes to grieving the loss of a loved one however, it is a process that you do not have to go through feeling like you are alone.

Jamie Holloway, a Medical Social Worker for Princeton is offering residents the opportunity to participate in a Grief and Loss support group.

“A group setting offers the opportunity for discussion in a safe, confidential and supportive environment,” said Holloway.

Sharing within a group setting helps to connect with others who are grieving, raises awareness and an understanding of the grieving process and provides the support needed to carry on in life without your loved one.

The local Grief and Loss support group will begin a 10 week program on Feb. 6 and will run every Wednesday until April 10 from 1 p.m., to 3 p.m. There is no cost to participate.

“Grieving is not about getting over it—rather it is about accepting that we have been forever changed by our losses.”
