"Prevention of Violence Against Women Week".

The Princeton Violence in Relationships Committee (VIR) invites everyone to a FREE screening of the film: "Precious" to honour those victims of crime and promote community awareness.

Wednesday April 20th, 6:30pm at the Riverside Centre Meeting Room.

There will be opportunity for discussion, access to information, and support, if required.

Rated R for child abuse including sexual assault, and pervasive language.

Clareece "Precious" Jones (Gabourey "Gabbie" Sidibe) stars as the Harlem teen who is pregnant with her second child and struggling to overcome hardships in her life. She had been raped by her father, abused by her mother (Mo'nique), and generally neglected.

She is angry, overweight, illiterate, and has little hope for a promising future until she is accepted into an alternative school and nurtured by the positive relationships she forms.
