Anyone looking for a pleasant evening of viewing outdoor Christmas lights is invited to drive or walk through the Trout Creek neighbourhood from Dec. 19 to 22 during the fourth annual Christmas light-up contest.

“I’m encouraging home owners on both sides of the highway to get in the holiday spirit and participate in this festive and fun event,” said organizer Heather Pescada. “It’s always amazing to see how creative people can be with lights and decorations. Every year there’s something new. As usual, there are nice prizes to be won.”

The public is welcome to vote in the contest’s four categories: Best Classical Design, Best Theme, Clark Griswold (inspired by the movie Christmas Vacation) and Most Favourite.

A ballot box will be set up at the Trout Creek community notice board, corner of May Street and Nixon Road, from Dec. 19 to Dec. 22 at 9 p.m.

Winners will be posted on the Trout Creek Community Association Facebook page on Dec. 23.
