A fundraising lobster dinner and auction for the Summerland Museum raised more than $6,700.
The event was held at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church and was a sold out event.
Museum staff members Claire MacDonald, Stephanie Normandeau and Julien Butler and museum volunteer Carol Stathers and others, helped organized the event.

The lobster dinner was expertly provided by Roch Fortin, Mirjana Komljenovic and their crew.
More than 40 items were donated for the silent auction, ranging from bottles of wine to a Gulf Islands cruise.
The museum has made some improvements over the past two years.
The website offers free access to all past issues of the Summerland Review from 1908 to 1929. The site also has increased its photograph collection and is expanding the histories of Summerland pioneers.
The museum has also featured some significant exhibits over the past two years.
The current exhibit by Paul Randall, describes the Summerland soldiers who fought in the two world wars.
The next planned exhibit will describe the artistic merits of Summerland’s Mary Spencer. She was the one who photographed train robber Bill Miner following his arrest in Kamloops in 1906.
