Sister Colleen and Cst. Kelcy Slocombe share laughs during visit in Edmonton.

Hi everyone,

Thanks to all of you, I reached my fundraising goal for the Canadian Cancer Society’s Cops for Cancer!  I was able to raise $1,885.00 and it is still growing!  Thank you for joining the fight!

Although some of you have seen my new ‘hair-do’...many of you have not.  So, as promised (although belated) here are a few photographs of when my hair was shaved off!  I have also attached a couple of photos when I visited my sister, Colleen, a couple of days later in Edmonton.

My sister continues to courageously battle this cancer and she is currently in hospital again having a third round of chemotherapy.  On a good note, we found out a couple of weeks ago that our brother, Matt, is a bone marrow match!  We are hopeful that this round of chemo will finally get Colleen into remission and they will then be able to proceed with the bone marrow transplant!  Fingers crossed.

Hope everyone is well.  Keep in touch.

Sincerely, Kelcy:)

Thanks again for your donation. Funds raised benefit childhood cancer research as well as the life-changing summer camp program - Camp Goodtimes. Visit www.cancer.ca/bc to learn more.
