Less than 12 months after leading the Penticton Vees to back-to-back Fred Page Cup titles, Bradly Nadeau is set to make his NHL debut.

The former Vees standout will suit up for the Carolina Hurricanes when they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets on April 16, head coach Rod Brind’Amour confirmed through the team’s social media accounts.

Nadeau’s debut will come less than two weeks after he signed a three-year, entry-level deal with the club. He was selected 30th overall by Carolina in the first round of the 2023 NHL Draft.

Tuesday marks the Hurricanes’ final regular season game, as the team gears up to battle the New York Islanders in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Nadeau spent the 2023-2024 campaign with the University of Maine Black Bears, where he led the team in scoring en route to an NCAA tournament appearance.

The forward played for Penticton in the BCHL from 2021 to 2023 and capped off his Junior ‘A’ career by winning the league’s MVP award. In his final season with the Vees, Nadeau posted 113 points in 54 games.

Team officials from the Vees took to social media on Tuesday and congratulated Nadeau for cracking the Hurricanes’ lineup.

Puck drop for his debut in Columbus is at 4 p.m.
