Posse sink Lakers in first game of series

Princeton Posse defeated the Penticton Lakers 1-0 in the first game of a best-of-seven-series on Feb. 24.

Game 1 of the divisional semi-final series proved a tough fight for both teams.

The game's only goal was made during the first period by Princeton's Eric Kubis.

But the game didn't die down then.

Both teams fought hard during the second and third periods, but failed to make another goal.

Penticton's goalie was pulled during the final seconds of the game. Laker assistant captain Derek Grimm's shot at the net was ruled a no goal because the game had ended seconds before.

Shots on goal: Princeton 38, Penticton, 25. Penalties: Princeton two for four minutes, Penticton four for eight-minutes.
