I have just returned from the Country and Blues Review at Riverside Center, Saturday, Nov. 26th! I was totally charmed by the entire performance! Who knew so much musical talent resides among us!
The band ‘Allenby Road’ (love that name) were the organizers and driving force behind this truly wonderful two-hour event, joined by the Backdoor Blues. They brought together a surprising number of very talented local folks – people you can run into in Cooper’s - amazing!
For me, it was the first time at one of these events. I was truly impressed by the variety of music presented by the artists, especially the Presley songs by Rick Law. You would think Elvis himself was singing Blue Suede Shoes!
I want to thank all the performers for putting themselves out there for our enjoyment and doing a great job! It was fun - time and ten dollars well spent!
I look forward to their next Review, sometime in the spring!
