Winifred Huyssoon, a long time resident of Princeton, quietly slipped away from this life on March 4, 2010 at the age of 94. Born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, she moved to Canada as a war bride in 1951. After several moves across Canada, she settled in Princeton in 1973. Winifred was sadly predeceased by her husband of 60 years, William (Bill) Huyssoon in July of 2007. She is survived by her loving daughters; Jane Kane of North Vancouver, Pat Keehn (Vic) of Summerland, and by her grandchildren;

Aideen & Nolan Kane and Danny & Graham Keehn.

Winifred dedicated her life to her family and enjoyed countless hours sewing, weaving, cooking and volunteering in many capacities. She will be remembered for her grace, kindness, creativity and for her positive personality.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Ridgewood Lodge for allowing Winifred to carry on in her dignified, lady-like way.

A private family service will be held.

Donations in memory of Winifred may be made to Ridgewood Lodge in Princeton.
