YEE, Danny Andrew
July 7, 1937 - August 21, 2010
Danny Yee, long time resident of Princeton, BC passed away after a short illness on August 21, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Hermine and their sons; Stephen (Sandy), Andrew (Laura) and Mark (Stephanie). Danny is also survived by his beloved grandchildren; Nicholas, Christopher, Brandon, Grant, Mitchell, Katlyn and Emma, as well as numerous family and friends.
Danny and Hermine immigrated from Jamaica in 1974, living in Maple Ridge, Hope and finally settling in Princeton. In 1978, they purchased and operated the Variety Store, then Yees Food Market, after which Danny went on to work at Similko Mine until his
retirement in 1994.
While his grandchildren were his greatest passion,
Danny enjoyed being a member of the Princeton Lions Club, was an avid fan of the Princeton Posse and Princeton Minor Hockey Clubs and in his spare time he thoroughly enjoyed fishing.
Funeral and Mass were held at St. Peters Catholic Church on Friday, August 27, 2010 followed by
Interment at Princeton Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in memory of Danny to Princeton Minor Hockey or the Princeton Posse.
