UPDATE: One homeless after travel trailer fire in Olalla

The owner had no insurance and all contents were destroyed

UPDATE 11:20 p.m.

At least one person is homeless after a travel trailer was destroyed by fire Thursday night.

Jordy Bosscha, fire chief of the Keremeos Volunteer Fire Department said the trailer was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived on scene.

There was no insurance on the trailer and the contents of the trailer was destroyed by fire.

The call came at about 7:15 p.m. that the trailer was on fire on Main Street in Olalla near the end of 1st Street.

Bosscha said there were no injuries and a cause is not known at this time.

Eighteen firefighters attended.

The Keremeos Volunteer Fire Department is currently fighting a fire in a travel trailer in Olalla.

The call came in about about 7:15 p.m. Thursday night.

The travel trailer is on a property on Main Street near the end of 1st Street.

It’s unknown at this point if anyone was living in the trailer or if anyone was injured in the fire.

The fire department is asking that people stay out of the area as they work to contain the fire and put out the hot spots.
