While a three-week job to replace the decking on Princeton’s iconic Brown Bridge began Tuesday, there was more news released about the fixture’s future.
In a press release the Town of Princeton announced that Minister of Transportation Claire Trevena agreed to consider funding an assessment study of options to improve the bridge, at the UBCM conference.
“Due to safety standards and the age of the bridge the Town of Princeton believes that the bridge will need major upgrade or repair in the not too distant future,” the release stated.
