A driver was sent to hospital Friday morning after crashing into a creek along Green Mountain Road.

It’s not clear at this point the extent of the driver’s injuries, but another driver on the scene said the vehicle had been driving too fast and almost hit his car.

It appears that the driver lost control of the vehicle around a bend east of the intersection of Green Mountain Road and Shingle Creek Road.

The windshield of the vehicle was severely damaged, and a bumper on the vehicle was on the shoulder of the road above the ditch, which was about 10-feet deep.

The Western News has reached out to RCMP for comment on the cause of the crash and the condition of the patient.
