Police raided a home on Similkameen Avenue less than two hours ago, and are still on the scene.

A nearby resident, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said three police vehicles pulled in front of the house and approached it with guns drawn.

At least five police officers were later observed by The Spotlight focusing their investigation on a shed in the backyard.

Most of the officers were outfitted with face masks and gloves. At one point they examined a brown paper wrapped box.

The resident said three people are known to live at the house, and police handcuffed one man on the front yard.

Check back for more details as they are available.
