The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen board has authorized $75,000 for the supply and installation of variable frequency drives for the West Bench Water System pump station.

The board authorized the funding on Aug. 4. The money will come from the Electoral Area F Community Works (Gas Tax) Reserve.

The two drives will increase the efficincy of the water system, as determined in an energy assessment.

The gas tax fund will still have a balance of $857,681.
