At least one dead in Coalmont Road crash

At least one person is dead after a car left Coalmont Road and plunged down an embankment Saturday afternoon.

Police were releasing no information, other than that a person was deceased.

An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene, but left at approximately 4:30 while highway crews were still working at the bottom of the hill.

The accident occurred approximately five kilometers east of Coalmont.

Roads were snow covered and slippery at the time of the crash.
