Princeton Hospital emergency room closure

Princeton Hospital emergency department is closed until 9 p.m. tonight (Feb. 27) due to a lack of doctors available to work, Interior Health reports.

The emergency room has been closed since noon today, and was originally supposed to remain closed until 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.

During the hours the emergency department is closed, residents should take note of the following:

In the event of an emergency, call 911. For non-urgent matters, residents may wish to use the emergency department in Penticton.

If anyone is unsure about what services they require, call HealthLink BC at 8-1-1. The toll-free line provides 24-hour, confidential health information and advice from a registered nurse.
