A man who beat his disabled father with his closed fist was found guilty of assault in Princeton court Thursday and sentenced to 45 days in jail.

Andrea DeMeer Nathan Lipus, 26, was returned to jail Thursday following his conviction for assault.

A man who beat his disabled father with his closed fist was found guilty of assault in Princeton court Thursday and sentenced to 45 days in jail.

Nathan Lipus, 26, represented himself and told the court he was only trying to get his father’s attention so he could borrow his cellphone, and that he hit his father in self defense.

The victim, Wayne Lipus, admitted to poking at his son with his cane in an attempt to leave the house.
